Identification Test:
A) Infrared Absorption: IR absorption spectrum of the preparation of the test specimen exhibits maxima only at the same wavelength as that of a similar preparation of the corresponding USP reference standard
B) Salicylate and Sodium: Sample solution: 50 mg/ml of sodium and salicylate in water. Acceptance criteria: meets the requirement
